Born into
a Show business family, her Father was Singer, Raconteur RON SCOTT, very
much in demand on the Scottish scene, and one of the few Scottish Comedy
Entertainers that made good in England. CARON’S Mother was one of the
SHANE SISTERS, a very high class dancing duo, who played in almost every
major theatre that was open in Britain at the time, got all the best work and
were never out of work.
CARONS sister JULIE is still with the English National Ballet Company she has the most amazing executive position with them as “Shoe Master” JULIE is responsible for every piece of footwear that is worn on stage in every ballet that is performed. CARON danced, and indeed did four seasons with the English National Ballet Company at the Coliseum Theatre in St. Martins Lane. London, with the most famous male ballet dancer of all time RUDOLF NUREYEV, an accolade not achieved by many.
CARON ~ steeped in show business went on to be in many of the West End productions, namely Mardi Gras at the Prince of Wales, Cilla at the Palace, A Chorus Line, branching out to Choreography in Belgium. Then going into Summer Season at Clacton on Sea where she met KENNY CANTOR, the rest seemed like a wonderland, as, they went all over the world together, CARON was Producing, Choreographing, and appearing in shows, from Kwa Zulu in Africa to Auckland in New Zealand and back again through Zimbabwe, South Africa, then on the Cruise lines out of Sydney Australia, to Tonga, Fiji, all those fabulous places in the South Seas, back to the UK for Pantomime, out again to Hong Kong, Singapore, back to Hobart Australia, and so it went on. The business has been really marvellous for CARON.
They wanted to settle down and have a family, and they went to a small village called Kessingland on the East Coast near Lowestoft. They became the Entertainment Executives responsible for every bit of entertainment on 10 holiday sites all over the British Isles. They were instrumental in building up the holiday company for 14 years, Parkdean Holidays, who sold out again and again, and then to Haven Holidays who had their own Entertainment machine, so CARON & KENNY were out. So, CARON & KENNY started their own place. Cantor’s Entertainment Complex, in Lowestoft. It was a very big place and housed many different facets of entertainment which included a 160 seat “COMEDY THEATRE” ~ CANTOR’S THEATRE SCHOOL IN LOWESTOFT ~ ‘CANTOR’S CARE FOR KIDS’ which was a FULLY EDUCATIONAL DAY NURSERY ~ FULLY LICENSED RESTAURANT & BAR ~ CHILDREN'S TUCK SHOP ~ SOFT PLAY AREA ~ KEYBOARD LESSONS ~ SINGING LESSONS ~ EGYPTIAN DANCING ~ REHEARSAL ROOMS ~ BODY TONING ~ DISCOS ~ WEDDINGS ~ PARTIES ~ FUNCTIONS ~ PLUS MANY OTHER ACTIVITIES ~ Unfortunately due to the ever changing restrictions and EXTREMELY expensive demands of Ofsted with the Day nursery ~ for which the building was never designed ~ WE closed the Complex down in April 2002.
Now carrying on with their most successful CANTOR’S THEATRE SCHOOLS and centres for Performing Arts which were first established in 1981 in Nottingham. Now in Lowestoft, & Beccles, with well over a hundred students. The ‘special needs’ class that she also incorporates within the Theatre School. Plus an ADULT CANTORS THEATRE SCHOOL & SOCIAL CLUB and that is going from strength to strength too.
In recent years CARON has Choreographed many major productions shows at Her Majesty’s Theatre Haymarket (1) Theatre Royal Drury Lane (2) The Famous London Palladium (3) which, as most people who know about them, have been an incredible success. Even with her back injury she has managed to convey her thoughts to other people, and get the job done.
CARON keeps coming up with the goods, and is part of the team who give young people a chance ~ she does that all the time, she is truly talented and believes that “The confidence of knowing your craft in the theatre relies solely upon the learning processes” CARON is a firm believer in learning from properly qualified people. She did, and she never looked back.
CARON has played in so many Pantomimes, Principal Boy, Principal Girl, comedy roles, but now she prefers the ‘Baddie’ roles. Last year she played Queen Rat in Dick Whittington, and was hated by every child (and adult) in the place, and she loved it (so did the audiences) she was most certainly a highlight of the Pantomime!

IS THE 5th GENERATION IN HIS FAMILY TO BE IN SHOW BUSINESS. BEFORE HE LEFT
SCHOOL AT THE AGE OF 15 HE WAS ONE OF THE YOUNGEST STAGE DIRECTORS OF HIS DAY.
HE WENT TO WORK WITH HIS FATHER & DID EVERY JOB FROM CARRYING THE LUGGAGE TO
SWEEPING THE STAGE ~ THEN ~ AT THE OTHER END OF THE SCALE FROM BEING THE ‘STAR’
OF THE SHOW TO THEATRE MANAGEMENT. HIS FATHER TAUGHT KENNY TO SING ~ DANCE ~
PLAY INSTRUMENTS ~ IT WAS THE GREAT ‘CLAUDE LESTER’ THAT TAUGHT HIM TO USE THE
WALKING STICK ~ IT WAS FROM HERE THAT KENNY WENT ON TO PLAY ALMOST EVERY THEATRE
IN THE BRITISH ISLES ~ PLUS THE ‘CLUBS’ IN YORKSHIRE CULMINATING IN THE ‘COMMAND
PERFORMANCE OF CLUB LAND’ AT THE WINTER GARDENS IN BLACKPOOL. HE THEN WENT ON TO
PLAY THE WEST END OF LONDON NIGHTSPOTS VERY SUCCESSFULLY UNTIL THEY WERE NO
MORE.
KENNY CREATED A RECORD OF BEING THE MOST SUCCESSFUL PANTOMIME COMEDIAN AT THE FAMOUS CITY VARIETIES THEATRE IN LEEDS ~ & ~ THE EMPIRE THEATRE SUNDERLAND ~ BOTH RECORDS STILL STAND TO THIS DAY. KENNY WENT TO RHODESIA (NOW ZIMBABWE) TO STAR IN THE PANTOMIME AT THE 7 ARTS THEATRE IN SALISBURY (NOW HARARE) KENNY ALSO WROTE THE SCRIPT ~ DIRECTED ~ PRODUCED & STARRED IN THE PRODUCTIONS ~ THEN THREE CONSECUTIVE CHRISTMASES AFTER THAT KENNY WENT BACK TO RHODESIA & BUILT ON HIS SUCCESS & FINISHED UP BREAKING EVERY RECORD IN THE HISTORY OF SHOW BUSINESS IN THAT COUNTRY ~ GREAT SUCCESS. THEN WENT AND DID EXACTLY THE SAME IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA AT THE ‘REGAL THEATRE’ SUBIACO, PERTH.
IT WAS A ‘ROYAL GALA PERFORMANCE’ AT THE THEATRE ROYAL WINDSOR IN THE PRESENCE OF HRH PRINCESS MARGARET THAT KENNY ‘MADE’ HIS MARK ~ KENNY WAS THE COMPERE ~ THE MAIN POWER CABLE FOR WINDSOR WAS SEVERED, THEY WERE PUTTING UP THE BUNTING ETC., FOR QUEEN JULIANA & HRH PRINCE BERNHART OF THE NETHERLANDS ~ KENNY STAYED ONSTAGE FOR CLOSE TO AN HOUR IN THE DARK, NO MICROPHONE, HE GAGGED & ADLIBBED TO A CELEBRITY PACKED AUDIENCE UNTIL THE LIGHTS CAME BACK ON AGAIN, WHEN THERE WAS A STANDING OVATION FOR HIM ~ LED BY THE ROYAL PARTY. ~ BECAUSE OF HIS SUCCESS KENNY WAS ASKED TO APPEAR BEFORE ROYALTY AGAIN, ONCE MORE THE VENUE WAS WINDSOR ~ THIS TIME BEFORE HRH DUKE OF EDINBURGH ~ KENNY STOLE THE SHOW AGAIN ~ THIS TIME BY FALLING INTO THE ORCHESTRA PIT ~ A TRICK HE HAD LEARNED IN HIS CIRCUS DAYS ~ HIS THIRD ROYAL PERFORMANCE WAS AT THE WORLD FAMOUS LONDON PALLADIUM ~ KNOWN AS THE GREATEST THEATRE IN THE WORLD ~ ONE NATIONAL PRESS REVIEWER SAID “THIS MUST PUT KENNY CANTOR AMONGST THE ‘GREATS’ HE CAME COLD TO A WEST END AUDIENCE & LIFTED THE TEMPERATURE TO BOILING POINT” ~ WELL YOU CAN’T HAVE BETTER THAN THAT!
IN HIS ROLE OF ‘LAUGHTER MAKER’ KENNY HAS TRAVELLED THE WORLD MANY TIMES ~ HE WAS CHOSEN BY ‘CUNARD’ TO STAR ON THE MAIDEN WORLD CRUISE OF THE QE2 ~ PICKED FROM 3000 PERFORMERS ~ HE WAS SO SUCCESSFUL ON THIS CRUISE THAT HE WAS ASKED TO DO MORE APPEARANCES TO THE RICHEST AUDIENCES IN THE WORLD.

KENNY IS A REGULAR PERFORMER FOR CHARITIES INDEED HE IS A MEMBER OF THE GRAND ORDER OF WATER RATS SINCE 1964 ~ IN 1972 HE WAS VOTED ‘RAT OF THE YEAR’ FOR THE ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF WORK HE HAS DONE FOR CHARITY ~ HE WAS MADE A FREEMAN OF THE CITY OF LONDON IN 1996 FOR HIS CHARITABLE WORK ~ THESE ARE HONOURS THAT DO NOT COME EASILY TO ANYONE. ~ BUT ~ RAISING MONEY FOR CHARITY IS HIS HOBBY ~ HE NOW RUNS DIFFERENT SHOWS AND FUNCTIONS TO RAISE MONEY FOR LOCAL CHARITIES. HE HAS ALSO BECOME A MEMBER OF ROTARY INTERNATIONAL IN LOWESTOFT TO GET INVOLVED ~ & ~ OF COURSE COOKING IS HIS OTHER HOBBY, AND GREAT LOVE! HE IS ALSO MENTIONED IN THE “WHO’S WHO” OF SUFFOLK.

OR TOASTMASTER AT ANY FUNCTION ~ THEN THERE ARE HIS CHILDREN’S SHOWS ~ ALL OF THIS TAKING PLACE UP AND DOWN THE COUNTRY ~ THEY ARE HAPPY STILL DOING ALL THEY CAN ~ WHEN THEY CAN ~ FOR CHARITY ~ ADAPTING WITH GREAT SUCCESS TO THE EVER CHANGING ‘SHOW BUSINESS SCENE’ ~ GREAT SUCCESSES IN 2005 A GALA SHOW AT THE MARINA THEATRE IN LOWESTOFT HAILED AS THE BEST PRESENTATION OF ENTERTAINMENT FROM THE AREA IN YEARS, THEN THERE IS A GROUP OF YOUNG PERFORMERS THAT STEM FROM THEIR PROMOTION OF YOUNG ENTERTAINERS ~ “T.E.A.N.S.” (TEENAGE ENTERTAINERS AROUND NORFOLK & SUFFOLK) WHO ARE EXTREMELY SUCCESSFUL WHEREVER THEY APPEAR. THEIR DAUGHTER “SHANI” IS NOW THE 6th GENERATION IN SHOW BUSINESS IN THE FAMILY; SHE IS NOW QUALIFIED TO HAVE HER OWN SINGING ACADEMY BEING AN A.L.C.M. SHE HAS A SENSATIONAL VOICE AND IS DESTINED TO BE PROMINENT IN SOME PART OF SHOW BUSINESS VERY SOON.
IN 2006 CARON & KENNY PRESENTED “SNOW WHITE & THE 7 DWARFS” PANTOMIME AT THE PUBLIC HALL THEATRE BECCLES, IT PROVED TO BE A STUNNING SUCCESS, AND IS STILL THE TALK OF THE AREA ~ THIS 2007 PANTOMIME SEASON THEY RETURNED TO BECCLES WITH “DICK WHITTINGTON & his WONDERFUL CAT” WHICH WAS HAILED AS BEING ONE OF THE BEST PANTOMIMES SEEN THIS SEASON. 2007/8 SAW KENNY PLAYING “DAME” IN ‘GOLDILOCKS’ at THE NEW FISHER THEATRE IN BUNGAY ~ AFTER 54 PANTIOMIMES, THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME HE HAS PLAYED “DAME” ~ GREAT ACCOLADES CAME HIS WAY IN ALL FORMS, AND HE WAS DEEMED TO BE A ‘FIRST CLASS AND EXTREMELY FUNNY DAME.
CANTORS THEATRE SCHOOL HAS NOW MOVED INTO BIGGER AND BETTER PREMISES WITH THEIR OWN STUDIO IN THE NIRVANA FITNESS COMPLEX ON SOUTH LOWESTOFT ESTATE. THEY HAVE ALSO GOT A CANTOR’S THEATRE SCHOOL IN BECCLES AS THEY GET BIGGER AND BIGGER AND BETTER AND BETTER.
IN GREAT DEMAND, KENNY IS NORMALLY INVOLVED IN WHATEVER IS GOING ON AND IS NOW LOOKED UPON AS AN AUTHORITY ON THE VARIETY SCENE THAT HAS BEEN THE BACKBONE OF BRITISH SHOW BUSINESS FOR MANY YEARS. HE HAS WRITTEN A ONE MAN SHOW “DOWN MEMORY LANE” WHERE HE REMEMBERS ALL THE GREAT COMEDY HERO’S OF VARIETY OVER THE TIME HE HAS BEEN IN SHOW BUSINESS ~ PLAYS TO GREAT SUCCESS ~ EVERYWHERE.
